Charities make a real difference to people’s lives and they do have the power to change the world. It’s a simple statement and one that I think most people will agree with, yet so often we overlook this reality.
People who work for charities often do so accepting less pay and worse conditions than if they took a role in a business. They usually take on the role because they are passionate about the idea of using their skills to benefit others. The charity sector is one we too often take for granted.
When you add the volunteers and supporters to the staff you have an amazing group of motivated people. The motivation comes from a place of purity – to help others. Little by little we can change the world and often it is charities and the people behind them who are most responsible.

If you have not done so already, please visit the ‘Playing for Change‘ website – I guarantee you will like so many others fall in love with the concept, the music and be amazed by the raw talent that is discovered. By simply spreading the message you are doing your part to join those of us who work and support the charity sector to change the world. This is the song which started the Playing for Change journey…but it’s worth seeing the many others on their site.
